HVAC Apprentice

Looking for a hands-on career with long-term stability? Mauzy is seeking a motivated and dependable HVAC Apprentice to join our team. This is an entry-level role, perfect for someone who is looking to break into the skilled trades and make a career change into a field that is in demand & future proof.

No prior HVAC experience is required. Looking for a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and a desire to grow withing the trades industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist HVAC technicians and installers in repairing, maintaining and installing heating and cooling systems
• Attend job training session and complete any practice work
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Learn to diagnose, troubleshoot and install mechanical issues
• Maintain tools, material and equipment. Deliver equipment to and from job sites

• Mechanically inclined with good problem solving skills
• Positive attitude, good communication and a willingness to learn

Pay Transparency:  

The starting average rate for this opportunity is $40k-$50k/Year. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Other rewards may include incentive plan opportunities and annual bonus eligibility. We provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). A candidate’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions. Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate for this position. It assumes a rate based on location and experience. 

Physical Demands:

• Stand/Sit: Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the time.
• May be required to bend, climb (Stairs/Ladders), do repetitive motion, kneel, reach, squat, stand, crawl, walk, and run
• May be required to drive and sit for long periods of time
• Must be able to maneuver up to 75 lb. by lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling.
• May be required to work in outdoor weather conditions.
